I am so glad you are here with me today. I hope everyone stayed safe and had a Happy Thanksgiving. My Thanksgiving was good. My Thanksgiving included enough food to feed an army, talking to family on Facetime, see a dear friend from my front yard who stop by to share her Thanksgiving with my family. The most Thankful part is all this happen because of other people loving me. For the ones shopping online, I do not plan to keep you; let’s get to crafting.

Today, we are making a simple thank-you card. I have a lot of people I want to thank for making my Thanksgiving such a blessing for my family and me.

Crafting Steps

Day after thanksgiving

First, we will need a piece of card stock that measures 8 1/2′ x 11′. We are going to score it at 5 1/2′ and turn it to the 8 1/2′ side and cut it at 4 1/4′; we now have two 4 1/4′ x 5 1/2′ card base. We are going to foil some red strips, and in between the red strips, we are going to add black glitter strips to make the background. We are going to stamp and die cut a flower. To break up the flower and the background cut a die of the flower out of vellum and pop it up with glue dots. Out of white card stock, cut the thank you sentiment twice. Glue the sentiment onto the flower.

Word of the Day

The word of today is to enjoy. Enjoy your family and the blessing God has giving you. I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason. A lot of time, I must admit, I do not always understand that reason. We can learn from everything that happens to us. We choose to give it meaning or not. Today we are going to take things at face value. Who does not feel the spirit of a child laughing and not enjoy it? Who can see a child in his or her mother’s arms and look into that child’s face and see the happiness and not enjoy it? Just enjoy! While you are enjoying taking time to craft and create.
