Well, it’s Friday and that means it’s time for Chat and Craft. Being with you starts off my weekend in a good mood. I love our time together. Pull up a chair and let’s began solving all our problems. This week I started my Spring cleaning and reorganizing my home. This has been a challenge for me. I am seeing where all my money has been spent on things that I felt would make my life complete only to put away not to be used. I am a funny type of person, I love things but do not want to see my things out. It is like knowing they are there brings me some type of security. I am so ready for the warmer weather the set on the porch weather and sip a good glass of tea with friend weather. Who would like to be my guest at this tea party? I have found myself dreaming lately of being a hostess with the most type of person. Have friends and family around me just enjoying each other. I guess that what be away from friends and family makes you want to be around them. I love the fact my home is a home that is lived in. It is alright to kick off your shoes and visit for a while. It is not a showroom type of home. In my mind, I have found myself thinking I would like some of those showroom types of homes then, I think of my family and friends and say Oh No! I would love to know what is on your mind is it traveling, being with friends, and family, or just renewing your space?

Well, I am going to grab a cup of coffee and meet you back in my craft room.

Crafting Steps

Spring Card #2

Today we are going to make a card that will go into my Spring series. When I think of Spring, I think of fresh-cut flowers from the garden that should be out on display or giving to someone. Today’s card will be a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers to be given to brighten up someone’s day.

The materials we need are:

Pink, blue, white, and green card stock

Flowers dies and stamps

Flower punches

Bouquet stamp

Inks

Glue

Steps:

  1.  Take 8 1/2′ by 11′ piece of white pieces of card stock cut at 4’1/4′ and fold it at 5 1/2′ to make a top fold card base.
  2. Edge the bottom of the card base with a border punch.
  3.  Glue some hearts to the border.
  4. Cut a piece of pink card stock measuring 4′ by 5′ and punch around the piece of pink with a heart border punch. Attach it to the card base.
  5. Stamp the bouquet wrapper onto a piece of white card stock and fussy cut the bouquet wrapper.
  6. Attach the bouquet to the pink layer and stamp the flowers on top.
  7. Colored the flowers with markers.
  8. Cut the sentiment out of green card stock and attached it to the card base.

Word of the Day

The word of the day is laughter. Can you remember when you had a big laugh where tears came out of your eyes? The type of laughter where any time you thought about what you laugh at was just as funny. I feel it is time for one of those big laughter. Laughter is good for the heart and to just breathe deeply and let out a big laugh is what we are going to do now. Get comfortable and think of something so funny and let’s let out a big laugh together. Now take that feeling you are feeling into your weekend and always be safe. Find some time to craft and create.
