All Occasion Card!
Welcome, Friday’s Craft and Chat! I am so glad you can join me today. I also hope your week has been a good one. For about a month, I have had trouble sleeping. Come to find out. It was my CPA machine that was not working correctly. Since I got it replaced, I feel so much rested. I can not speak for everyone, but it has made a world of difference since I have been using it. My advice to you is to get your CPA machine checked out.
I thought it did not make a difference using it because it was not working right.
How do you feel about children get theCovid shots? If we do not have small children, we have grandchildren who may be young. Are we asking too much for parents to let their child get the shot? I am so glad that I do not have to make that decision. It was hard enough for me to take the Covid vaccine. What if your son or daughter called and asked you? Could you give them your opinion on it? I would like for us as grandparents to think about what answer we will have.
Since I have given you something to think about, let’s grab a cup of coffee and meet in the craft room.
Crafting Steps
Oh, how great I feel to be in my craft room again. I missed being in my craft room, but I am so glad that we are back together. I love adding foil to cards. Today we will be adding foil to the card as well as use my peg stamps. The card that we are making can be for any occasion. It is a fun card to make. So let’s get started.
First, you would need a 4 1/4′ by 5 1/2′ card base. You will need some one-inch low tack tape put down the middle of the card base.
The second step is to get your peg stamps and add a border around the one-inch tack tape at the top and bottom.
The third step is to remove the take a foil a sentiment where the tape was. You can apply the foil with your Cricut or with your Go Press machine. To finish the card, add the foiled sentiment to a piece of black card stock and attach it to the card base. Add two yellow bows to each end of the sentiment.
This how mine turned out:
I will make a few of these up and have them when I need a quick card.
Word of the Day
The word of the day is happiness. What makes you happy? When was the last time you felt happy? Does having money, a house, a career, a car, and relationships? If these make you happy, how long does that happiness last? Do people look for happiness in all the wrong places? I am beginning to believe we do look for happiness in things. I am here to tell you happiness will not last if it comes from things. I am a believer that our happiness must come within. We are not the ones who put happiness inside of us. Happiness only can last if it comes from the right source. For example, have you ever thought a car would bring you happiness only to realize it did not, only debt? Let’s look for joy instead of happiness. Joy lasts longer under any situation.
